ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 21, 2019) – Transformation Systems, Inc. (TSI) today announced Shawn D. James has been named President of the organization. In this role, Mr. James will have responsibility for strategy and operations management. He will report directly to TSI’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Marta Wilson.
As President, his focus will be building upon TSI’s success and impact. Mr. James will leverage his management experience and industry knowledge to further advance the organization in its mission to help organizations achieve bold goals with leading edge, cost effective solutions.
Mr. James joined TSI in 2012 and served as the company’s Chief Growth Officer, leading TSI’s expansion into new customer organizations and the development of new services.
With a distinguished career as a defense executive, Mr. James brings more than 20 years of leadership to his new role as President. He held multiple executive positions with companies supporting the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Energy, and the State Department. Following executive tenures at BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin, Mr. James was a leader at SOC LLC responsible for its Worldwide Protective Service Program and the stand-up of its Baghdad Embassy Security Force (BESF) task order with nearly 2,000 direct employees deployed in Baghdad and support operations in four additional countries and CONUS. Prior to joining industry, Mr. James was a career naval officer. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in English from the United States Naval Academy and a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.
