Transformation Systems, Inc. (TSI) partnered with Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA as an Inspiration Sponsor for the 2016 Advocacy Awards.  The event was held on April 19 at the Walter Reed Convention Center in Washington DC.

Since 2004, leaders in business, government relations and professional services have joined military and government dignitaries at the Advocacy Awards to support vital Easter Seals programs and honor advocates who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to advancing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities or special needs, including military families. Funds raised benefit Easter Seals’ programs and services  including Child Development, Respite, Caregiver Training, Adult Day Services, the Veteran Staffing Network, and Homeless Veterans Reintegration.

The theme of the 2016 Advocacy Awards was” Creating a Greater Community”, with a focus on supporting community-based caregiving services.

Major Gen. Carl H. McNair, Jr. (Ret.), Gen. Mark A. Welsh and Betty Welsh, and Northrop Grumman Corporation, were honored at the dinner for their commitment to advancing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities or special needs, including wounded warriors, military, veterans and their families.

VIPs in attendance included Ambassador of Aviation and actor, John Travolta; Former First Lady of the United States, Rosalynn Carter, founder of the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving; The Hon. Elizabeth Dole, former U.S. Senator (NC) and founder of The Elizabeth Dole Foundation; and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Robert McDonald.
