James joined TSi in 2012 and now serves as President & CEO.
"Our mission has always been centered on empowering individuals and organizations to achieve demonstrable results,” said James. “This acquisition strengthens our ability to fulfill that mission while expanding our reach and improving the daily lives of our defenders and public servants as TSi helps to innovate our national defense, healthcare and education systems."
James brings a wealth of experience to his leadership role. A United States Naval Academy graduate, he served as a naval officer before taking on executive roles in notable defense industry organizations like Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems. He has worked with a range of government organizations throughout his career including the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army, and civilian agencies. He brings an expertise in business development, operations, and profit and loss management to his new role as he leads TSi through its next chapter.
“This acquisition moves the company into a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) status, creating an opportunity to impact our federal customer base, especially with veterans' programs,” said James. “TSi has exciting new capabilities to drive effectiveness for taxpayer investments while balancing workforce productivity and morale.”
Dr. Marta Wilson, who founded TSi in 1994, will remain actively involved during the transition period, ensuring a seamless integration of values and vision. Dr. Wilson will also focus on the expansion of the LEAP (Leadership Effectiveness And Potential) product line and its accompanying intellectual property, developed over 30 years of applied research.
The collaboration with LEAP will accelerate the creation of human element products and solutions that TSi can deliver to its valued customers. TSi is the sole licensed provider of LEAP in the federal government sector and will continue to recruit trainers and coaches in 2025.
TSi remains steadfast in its dedication to excellence, guided by its unique blend of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Management Systems Engineering expertise. "I am delighted to see our legacy continue through Shawn's leadership and the continuation of our work empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their full potential," said Dr. Wilson.
James seeks to build upon the secure foundation Dr. Wilson built by remaining a trusted partner to federal clients, delivering excellence through servicing leaders, and spearheading innovative initiatives that will take TSi to new heights.
